On Monday, May 25, 2020, Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin was filmed murdering George Floyd by kneeling on his neck for 8 Minutes and 46 Seconds. The recording of the homicide went viral and set off days and nights of rage in response to the most recent killing of a Black American at the hands of a police officer.
